Aki Mahjong was designed specifically for your iPhone or iPod touch, allowing you to enjoy Mahjong Solitaire anywhere.

Combining the ancient Chinese game of Mahjong with an enchanting journey across Japan, Aki is easy to learn even if you still havent mastered chopsticks, so dont hesitate to dive right in.

The principle is simple: you have a number of ivory tiles arranged on a beautiful Japanese backdrop. Your goal is to make all of the tiles disappear by matching them to similar tiles.

Aki is a casual game you can pick up and play whenever you want, yet dismiss quickly to take that incoming call. When youre ready to resume, tap the Aki icon and youre back where you left off!

Pros and cons of Aki Mahjong app for iPhone and iPad

Aki Mahjong app good for

Ive been playing Aki for years on my Mac, and love that I can now play it on my iPod Touch as well. Highly addictive gameplay, great music, and authentic mahjong tiles. Plus some interesting tidbits about Hiroshima in Japan. Id highly recommend it for any casual gamer with an iPod Touch/iPhone.
I am very impressed with this version of Majong. Take the time to read the rules, some classy little features to know about.
In general I enjoy playing this game, the only problem for my old eyes is sometimes its hard to read.
I love the graphics on this game and I play it a lot ... But not according to the way it was set up! I dont liked time limits much, its one of the reasons I like this game, but the automatic reshuffle makes the untamed game too easy. So I play with the goal of achieving all matches without shuffling. Almost all configurations make this variant interesting, but one in particular is especially difficult. I have played literally thousands of times the "Fly by night" configuration under these rules without succeeding. I keep track of my top ten scores, too, where I score the number of matches achieved. Under my rules and scoring system, this is by far the most addictive game Ive ever played!
I like all the different scenes, boards and levels of play. The only trouble is that my eyes start to get blurry. Its a great game tho.
Extremely good production value, countless hours of thinking, dozens of puzzles… what more could you say? Control precision also makes this game easy to play, which is questionable when you look at some free mahjongs out there.

Some bad moments

I have played Mahjong for many years. I find this version sub-par. I find the shuffle button absolutely useless, and would get much more use out of an undo button. As fingertips are generally bigger than the tiles, I find that quite often the wrong tile gets selected, and can mess up my game strategy if the wrong match is selected. The shuffle button is especially pointless because every time I have tried it, I find it will give one match, and then you have to shuffle again. I want my $4.99 back, what a waste of money!
There are still major glitches, its slow and the graphics were way better in the first version. Please fix.
The screen flashes a lot, and very often, the tile set that comes up bears no resemblance to what the selection screen said it should be, especially in the bonus games, and after you finish that game, the tile set that comes up for that game is different from what it initially was. No, I didnt accidentally scroll to a new game. How about if instead of breaking the game in a different way with every update, we just got some more tile sets?
This game used to be great! Wondering if the creators have given up as well. The Game just stopped functioning, i deleted and downloaded a few times but that didnt help. The screen freezes on the first screen. Bummer, i used to really enjoy this game, nice alternative to Solitaire.
It was my fave game until the app stopped working. Its stuck at the end where you "tap to continue". Only theres no continue. Theres no update, and of course I tried shutting my phone off and making sure the app was closed to restart it. So apparently you do have bugs and I do hope that you fix them soon. I cant rate an app that doesnt work.
I hope Im not the only one who still plays this in 2016. Game is unresponsive since the latest update. Please update?
